Directions to Government Camp

From the Portland Airport;
Airport Way to I-205 South
205 South to I-84 East (The Dalles exit)
I-84 East to exit 16 "Wood Village"
Right at stop sign on to 242nd
Follow 242nd to Burnside (approx. 3 mi.)
Left on Burnside (U-Haul rentals on the corner)
Burnside turns in to Hwy 26 East at the Newport Bay restaurant
Follow Hwy 26 East to the Timberline Road turn-off (about 40 mi.), you will pass through the towns of Sandy, Welches, and Rhododendron.
Turn left on the Timberline access road; follow the road to Timberline (6 mi.)

From Seattle;
I-5 South to I-205 South
Take I-205 South to I-84 exit (The Dalles)
Follow "From Portland" directions above

From Salem;
I-5 North to I-205
Take I-205 North to Mt. Hood exit, turn right
Follow signs to Mt Hood/Government Camp
You will come to Hwy 26. Follow Hwy 26 to the Timberline access road, just past Government Camp.

Arrival at airport

• Call Martin upon your arrival to PDX airport

•    Proceed to the baggage pick up area and meet by carousel #6 at the ground level of the airport. Other racers and staff will be there to meet you
•    If you are traveling as a UM, wait at the gate and have MARTIN TICHY paged if you do not see him at the gate waiting
•    If you are having trouble finding anyone or are lost or unsure, CALL IMMEDIATELY
•    We will transport you from PDX to Government Camp as soon as we have everyone that is arriving that day
Flight arrival time must be between 8:30 Am and 2:00 PM on the first day of camp (day #1) unless previously arranged.

Departure from airport

•    We will drive you to PDX airport each scheduled depurate day
•    UM racers will be accompanied past security check point(s)
•    Departure time must be on the last (non-ski day) of camp (day #11) and should be scheduled between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM unless previously arranged
