Weather at Mt. Hood

Timberline has managed to heavily snow-farm this winter to maintain and improve conditions. We will start our summer on the very best spring snow possible.

Summer skiing is ideal for amazing and consistent weather. The aspects that make ski racing great can also make it challenging, on the best of days. Weather and adapting to changing conditions are essential to each racer's success. At Tichy Racing, we are masters at making use of each day and any conditions presented to us. Still, weather delays, mountain closures, and the unexpected can occur.

It is in each racer's best interest to pack as many layers as possible and be prepared to train in all conditions. Items like extra gloves and goggles can make each day more successful. Here are a few links for weather updates and webcams:

CAMP CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event that any camps / sessions are cancelled by Tichy Racing for any reason whatsoever, a full refund of payment within 14 days of announcement will be mailed by USPS. All sessions that continue as planned will fall under our regular cancellation policy.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The application starts with a $200 deposit request from QuickBooks billing. To confirm participation, a deposit of $200 per participant, per session must be received within 15 days of the deposit request. Your $200 deposit is fully refundable if you cancel 90 or more days before your first session(s). Deposits are non-refundable for Glacier, Indoor, and Thanksgiving Camps.

If you wish to change your original reservation, your $200 deposit can be transferred to any other available 2026 session or camp. No refund is available within 90 days of camp. Full payment to confirm the camp is due 60 days before arrival.
Cancellation due to a medical or injury-related issue is valid for a refund or credit with the following details:
a) Injury cancellation accompanied by a doctor's note will allow for a full refund, less a $200 non-refundable deposit paid
b) Payment will be held in credit for 12 months (from date of registration), less a $200 deposit to be used at any upcoming Tichy Camp
c) Any racer departing due to injury or medical condition from camp will receive credit for future training (within 12 months from the date of camp) based on their departure from camp, as pro-rated at their departure

BAD WEATHER POLICY

We approach each day with the goal of creating a positive learning experience for our athletes, and we make all decisions to train safely and effectively for the entire group. However, the weather may affect lifts, safety, training conditions, etc. It may not be possible to be on the mountain each day. Tichy Racing offers full-day activities, dryland, and education during any weather delays or closures; we ensure all participants learn and enjoy each day to the best of their ability. Generally, only the cost of daily lift ticket(s) can be applied as a credit toward the day's activities or used for any future training or costs with Tichy Racing. We offer the most generous credit policy of any ski camp.
